Shaila Release Experience Night 1 - Spring

This first of four unique shows highlights Spring, the waxing moon, and the East, where new life and ideas rise. Spring in the mountains is a glorious time. Meadows and hillsides blooming in a great joy, after months of cold and snow. New life was being birthed, bringing a new curiosity and innocence to the landscape.

The culmination of several years of inspiration, Shaila, my 20th release, has come into existence. This record highlights the joy and importance of wildness within us and around us. The whole record was written in various locations in the Grand Teton ecology.

This release experience is a fully immersive event, featuring imagery, music, theatrics, and more.

Shaila was produced by the powerfully brilliant Gretchen Pleuss, and her attention to subtlety and sonic perspective brought such incredible beauty to this record. She helped to sonically bring these sacred mountains to life.

Recorded amazingly by Jason Chamberlain at Studio 1008 in Kenmore, and was easily the best recording experience I’ve been part of it.

Featuring the talent of Holbrook Riles III, Matthew DeRubertis, Dan Kyshwanis, Ray Flanagan, Charlie Trenta, Phillip Anderson, and Gina Wilson, as well as the heavenly voice of Gretchen Pleuss.
