Spring Series at EJ Thomas Hall

GroundWorks presents its Spring Series at E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall on March 4 & 5 at 7:30 pm. Northeast Ohio’s premier contemporary dance ensemble will once again bring breath-taking performances to Akron, featuring a world premiere by guest artist Loni Landon, 2014 Princess Grace Choreography award winner.  Also featured on the program is David Shimotakahara’s haunting exploration of humanity’s past, present and future through Tan Dun’s “Ghost Opera.”  This world renown work is performed with live string quartet and Chinese pipa and was choreographed by Shimotakahara in 2014, the first ever choreography to this music.  This unique evening of dance and music promises variety, excitement and great art.
