The Club @ The Civic presents Heathers The Musical

HEATHERS THE MUSICAL is a hilarious, heartfelt and homicidal new show based on the greatest teen comedy of all time. Based on the classic 1989 film, Westerberg High is ruled by a shoulder-padded, scrunchie-wearing junta: Heather, Heather and Heather, the hottest and cruelest girls in all of Ohio. But misfit Veronica Sawyer rejects their evil regime for a new boyfriend, the dark and sexy stranger J.D., who plans to put the Heathers in their place – six feet under. Written by Kevin Murphy, Laurence O’Keefe, and Andy Fickman, this new musical directed by Joe Asente is sure to leave you dying of laughter.

The Millennial Theatre Company, founded by Joe Asente and Francine Parr in April of 2016, aims to produce excellent theatrical experiences while focusing on the involvement of the Millennial Generation. In this virtual workshop, Rob Greer, Tyron Hoisten, and Elizabeth Tipton will discuss why representation matters in advertising and content creation, drawing on their recent experience participating in ArtsNow’s SEEN initiative. This panel will be moderated by a member of the Arts & Culture Inclusion Council.
