The Comedy of Errors

Presented by The University of Akron School of Dance, Theatre, and Arts Administration at Guzzetta Hall - University of Akron, Akron OH

Nov 05 - 14 2015
The Comedy of Errors

The University of Akron (UA) Theatre Program opens its 2015-2016 season with a vaudeville-inspired production of Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors, which will feature broad physical comedy, slapstick, clowning, and other surprises from the world of the variety entertainment era.

Shakespeare’s hilarious farce begins when a young man and his servant arrive in town unaware it’s the home of their identical brothers separated at birth. When everyone starts seeing double, it doesn’t take long before mistaken identies lead to furious wives, confused mistresses, scandalized family members, and general mayhem.
