The Sound of Music - Free Akron Outdoor Movie & Sing-Along

Join us September 11 for a sing-along that will make the hills of Glendale come alive with “The Sound of Music.” Rodgers & Hammerstein’s 1965 cinematic treasure is the winner of five Academy Awards, including Best Picture. In September, the gates, chapel, and food vendors will open at 6 p.m., with the film beginning around 8 p.m. and running for 2:52 hours. Rain date is Sunday, September 12.
