The UA Symphony Orchestra will be joined by faculty trumpeter Jim Johnson for their first concert of the season.

The UA Symphony Orchestra will be joined by faculty trumpeter Jim Johnson for their first concert of the season.  The program will include Verdi’s Overture to Nabucco, Persichetti’s The Hollow Men, Adam Schoenberg’s Canto, Mascagni’s Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana, and Respighi’s The Pines of Rome.  Guy Bordo conducts.  

This concert will be held on Thursday, September 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church located on 292 East Market St. and is free and open to the public.  For more information, please contact us at 330-972-8301 or concerts@uakron.edu.

PARKING INFO

Parking for audience members attending evening and weekend performances is free in the E.J. Thomas Hall deck when there is not an event in that venue. Handicap-accessible parking for audience members is available in all lots, including the residential surface lot across from Guzzetta Hall.
