Internationally renowned pianist Philip Thomson joins UA’s Wind Symphony in concert on Sunday, October 27 at 3:00 p.m. in Guzzetta Recital Hall. 

Internationally renowned pianist Philip Thomson joins UA’s Wind Symphony in concert on Sunday, October 27 at 3:00 p.m. in Guzzetta Recital Hall.  The program will include David Maslanka’s Concerto No. 3, a work commissioned by the Mid-American Conference Band Directors Association, as well as additional works originally composed for the piano and arranged for wind band.  

 

The concert is part of the School of Music’s Kulas Concert Series and is free and open to the public.  Donations will be gratefully accepted.  For more information, please contact us at 330-972-8301 or concerts@uakron.edu.

Parking for audience members attending evening and weekend performances is free in the E.J. Thomas Hall deck when there is not an event in that venue. Handicap-accessible parking for audience members is available in all lots, including the residential surface lot across from Guzzetta Hall.
