Ugly Mug Exchange

Anytime during the month of October, bring us a mass-produced mug and choose a handmade mug made by us. Buy your favorite from the Great Wall of Mugs, and leave your ugly mug in its place.

Celebrate with us for American Craft Week, October 5-14, 2018.

Anytime during the month of October, bring us a mass-produced mug and choose a handmade mug made by us. Buy your favorite from the Great Wall of Mugs, and leave your ugly mug in its place.

Choose a handcrafted mug for just $20 (reg. price is $38).
(Trade-in mugs will be donated to charity.)

All month long you can view the wall of mugs in the gallery.

Our Ugly Mug Exchange starts October 1st and will run the entire month long.
Trade in your ugly mug for one of beauty.

Celebrate American Craft Week with us on two other occasions during the month of October.

Saturday, October 6th from 5-8pm Open Studio Nite! Get up close and personal with a rare behind-the-scenes studio experience with Michael and Claudia in the clay studio. Stained glass artist Carol Cross will also have her studio open for visitors.

Friday, October 12th from 6:30-9pm Clay & Cuisine. Sign up for a fun-filled full evening workshop. Each participant receives a handmade serving tray. R.S.V.P. required. $68/person.

We’re located in Akron’s Northside District (under the Y Bridge) with easiest access from North Howard or Summit Street. Safe and convenient parking in the nearby lots or the street.

Arts & Culture Inclusion Council Presents: Representation Matters- Photography and Ad Spend

In this virtual workshop, Rob Greer, Tyron Hoisten, and Elizabeth Tipton will discuss why representation matters in advertising and content creation, drawing on their recent experience participating in ArtsNow’s SEEN initiative. This panel will be moderated by a member of the Arts & Culture Inclusion Council.

Nonprofit and for-profit leadership and marketing/communication professionals interested in learning about SEEN and participating in a conversation about the importance of authenticity and representation in our work.
