OPENING ACT – Olivia Martinez: Olivia Martinez is a 17-year-old singer-songwriter from Cleveland, Ohio. Though she doesn’t really give her music a genre, the closest style she would call it is folk pop with alternative rock influences. Growing up, her parents’ musical taste had a big impact on her and drew her towards bands like The Beatles and The Clash, but she also enjoys singers like Katy Perry and Kate Bush. She decided to start playing guitar at the age of 13 and began writing her own songs shortly after that. She began booking gigs at local restaurants when she was 15 and used the money she earned to go to songwriting camp at Interlochen in Michigan, where she spent some of the best two weeks of her life so far. This motivated her to finally record some of her music. After being approached by Berklee grad and music producer Matt Troja, she recorded six of her songs with him to create her upcoming EP, Dear Anonymous, which comes out August 18.
ABOUT THE VENUE: Twinsburg’s Rock the Park at Perici Amphitheatre is a hidden gem in Northeast Ohio. Often described by fans as a “Mini-Blossom”, the outdoor venue holds 1,500 plus a dance pit and various patios. Seating is lawn only.
