Veterans Day Luncheon and Celebration

Speaker: Ray Horner, WAKR Morning Show Host/Program Director

Veterans will be celebrated during the veteran pinning ceremony, presented by Mayor Don Walters of Cuyahoga Falls, Mayor John Pribonic of Stow and Mayor Bernie Hovey of Silver Lake.

Immersive Cure, headquartered in Akron, will be available to take veterans to war memorials using virtual reality technology. The Humane Society of Summit County will be showcasing adoptable pets. Their Seniors for Seniors program allows seniors to adopt a senior animal at no charge. In addition, due to the generosity of a special donor, all adoptions to veterans and active military will be free during the month of November.

Arts & Culture Inclusion Council Presents: Representation Matters- Photography and Ad Spend

In this virtual workshop, Rob Greer, Tyron Hoisten, and Elizabeth Tipton will discuss why representation matters in advertising and content creation, drawing on their recent experience participating in ArtsNow’s SEEN initiative. This panel will be moderated by a member of the Arts & Culture Inclusion Council.
