VIRTUAL: Cleveland Museum of Art Presents Egyptomania: Mummies

The Hudson library, in collaboration with the Cleveland Museum of Art’s award-winning distance learning program, continues its series on Egyptian Art with a presentation on Egyptomania: Mummies. Through the use of art and artifacts from the Cleveland Museum of Art’s collection, find out how the Egyptian desire for an eternal afterlife contributed to the ritual of mummification. Learn about the process of mummification and see ancient artifacts from the museum’s collection, such as canopic jars, mummy cases, amulets, and much more! This is a one-time special streaming event and will not be recorded.

Registration for this free program is required. Participants will be emailed an invitation to meet on Zoom before the program. For more information, please email askus@hudson.lib.oh.us or call the Reference Desk at 330.653.6658 x1010.
