Virtual Metalsmithing 8 week course

This class is designed for those who have always dreamed of jewelry making and metalsmithing at home but didn’t know where to start.

Dates: Saturday mornings between January 16th and March 6th
Time: 10:00am to 12:30pm Virtually
Cost: $400 with tool and materials expenses through the instructor

Spend your winter warm, safe, and healthy while metalsmithing from home with instructor Kristina Malcolm.
This Zoom 8-week course is for beginners and those who want to set up a home studio. It focuses on learning traditional metalsmithing techniques while progressively and safely setting up a home studio.
Each week, we’ll add tools, safety equipment, and materials gradually to reduce the financial sting while learning home safety, traditional hand fabrication, deign, and history.
Each class will be in demo format and students will be expected to finish work during the week between classes. Beginning the second week, classes will begin with student “show and tell” and troubleshooting.
Videos will be available online for review through the end of April with a password.
Sign-up before January 2 for reduced tools and materials expenses with the option for the instructor to mail them directly to your home. Signing up after January 2 may cause delays in receiving tools and materials.
