The show will run from September until the end of October.

Exhibition Reception: Saturday, September 14, 6pm-9pm

Literature and visual art have a long history of interconnectivity, with a few artists being known for both. William Blake, for example, mixed poetry and painting in what he called ͞”illuminated printing” in Songs of Innocence and Experience and other works. This exhibition will exist at this intersection, where visual art and literature merge.

Gabe Gott lives in Akron, Ohio, with his wife, Sarah. He has degrees in English from Kent State University and The University of Akron. Gabe was the March 2018 Akron Soul Train artist-in-residence, during which he wrote, designed, and published a poetry chapbook, Idiot Parade, which features his blackout poetry. A print of his blackout poem, “Fools Faces,” was featured in the Curated Storefront Front Triennial Exhibition. He has published a novel, two flash fiction chapbooks, and two poetry collections. PARKING INFO

Guests may park in the large parking lot across the street from our venue. Artists may park in our lot to unload their equipment and/or artwork. Handicapped individuals may also park in our parking lot on the right (North) side of Exchange Street.
