WARM YOUR MITTS KNITTING WORKSHOP. 5 SATURDAYS BEGINNING NOVEMBER 13TH, 2021

Join Standing Rock Cultural Arts for our Warm You Mitts Knitting Workshop!

The workshop will run through five Saturdays starting November 13th through December 11th, 2021 from 4:00 – 5:30 PM.

In a small group at the gallery, we will learn to knit a pair of mittens. Basic knowledge of knit and purl stitches and a cast-on technique is ideal. The pattern is knit on 2 needles, and students attending all 5 classes will gain knowledge of other techniques for knitting mittens in the round and an opportunity for coaching on selecting future projects. These warm mitts knit up quickly and make great gifts. With this pattern Left and Right are interchangeable.

The workshop will be instructed by Elisabeth Ygraine Willmott with Anita Gontkovsky. Willmott is a Kent resident and fiber fiend who has been knitting, spinning, felting and weaving for over 30 years. She’s currently on a mission to keep her kids and grandkids warm this winter with new hats, scarves, socks and mittens.
