WHS Empty Bowl Event to Benefit Family Promise of Summit County

Join us for Food, Fun & Art, at the 4th annual Empty Bowl Event, 100% of all proceeds go directly to Family Promise of Summit County!

Woodridge Local Schools is partnering with Family Promise of Summit County to present The Empty Bowl Fundraiser to benefit the organization. They invite the community to join them Friday, February 9, 2017, from 5:00-7:30pm at Woodridge High School. Family Promise of Summit County is an emergency center for homeless families with children in need. Many shelters separate children from their parents during a homeless crisis. Family Promise is unique because their mission is to minimize the trauma to children during a homeless event by keeping families together during a time of homelessness.

This is the fourth year of the event. Woodridge High School Ceramics students will be making more than 100 pieces of custom pottery using various clay building techniques. The FCCLA will be preparing a gourmet meal of soup, salad, bread, and desserts.  This year, the students wish to involve more local artists and businesses to share in making a difference in the community. Tickets are $10 for just dinner
