Wind Ensemble with Kent Roosevelt High School

The Kent Wind Ensemble returns to Cartwright Hall to present their first concert of the spring semester. They’ll be joined by the Kent Roosevelt Wind Ensemble.

The Kent Wind Ensemble returns to Cartwright Hall to present their first concert of the spring semester. Dr. Wendy K. Matthews, Interim Director of Bands, will lead the world premiere of Vincent Oppido’s “Cinematic Sketches” alongside “Asphalt Cocktail” by John Mackey and “Casey at the Bat” arranged Randol Alan Bass narrated by Dean Crawford-Spinelli.

They’ll be joined by the Kent Roosevelt Wind Ensemble under the direction of alumnus Dr. John Roebke (Ph.D. ‘05). Kent Roosevelt will perform their own selections with the ensembles coming together to play Respighi’s “Pines of the Appian Way.”
