Join us for the 2019 Youth Arts Showcase and celebrate the artistic talents of the children and teens in our community!

Join us for the 2019 Youth Arts Showcase and celebrate the artistic talents of the children and teens in our community!

The event will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2019. Artists, musicians, singers, and dancers in grades 4 through 12 are invited to apply to participate. Those selected will have the opportunity to perform in the library’s auditorium in front of an audience. Visual artists will be invited to attend a reception to be recognized and their work will be on display in the Main Library.

Applications will be available to pick up at the Akron-Summit County Public Library Main Library or any of the branches. You can also download an application.

Arts & Culture Inclusion Council Presents: Representation Matters- Photography and Ad Spend

In this virtual workshop, Rob Greer, Tyron Hoisten, and Elizabeth Tipton will discuss why representation matters in advertising and content creation, drawing on their recent experience participating in ArtsNow’s SEEN initiative. This panel will be moderated by a member of the Arts & Culture Inclusion Council.

Nonprofit and for-profit leadership and marketing/communication professionals interested in learning about SEEN and participating in a conversation about the importance of authenticity and representation in our work.
