Celtic Rush (formerly Akron Ceili Band)

Celtic Rush (formerly Akron Ceili Band) is a traditional Irish band with a non-traditional twist. They are a group of friends who have enjoyed performing throughout Northeast Ohio (Akron, Cleveland, Norton, Barberton, Bath, Canton, Dover and Kent areas) as well as West Virginia and Pennsylvania. The group performs with a variety of instruments including fiddles, guitars, tin whistle, upright bass, mandolin, and Irish drum (bodhran). Their music repertoire includes Irish and Scottish jigs, reels, hornpipes, waltzes and polkas, sometimes even adding some unexpected non-traditional favorites. They have a sound that is fun and entertaining and also gets people dancing!
