I’m a Visual & Literary Storyteller who graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and a double minor in Marketing and Psychology. I specialize in Design, Illustration, and Photography.
I’ve interned at the printing company, Digital Color International, LLC where I acted as the Marketing Director’s assistant. While there I handled the company’s blog, designed their travel books, created a FSC web banner, designed a direct mailer, and created press releases.
Currently, I work with both the Knight Foundation as a Program Associate and the GAR Foundation as a Program Assistant. In these roles, I work with grantees and potential grantees as well as help develop community based programming for Knight. Prior to this I worked as an Events Assistant at the Akron-Summit County Public Library where I help develop events, design the staff newsletter, and manage audio and visual equipment. I also recently stepped down as Lead Section Editor of The Arts for The Devil Strip, Akron’s culture magazine. There I oversaw the organization of The Arts section, dished out stories to writers, developed my own stories, and did a bit of photojournalism.
When I’m not working, I’m working. I run a Northeast Ohio-focused music, art, and food blog called “Tea Time with the Mad Artist.” I also run a book review site, a quirky web comic called “Inequivalent Exchange” which was featured in The Devil Strip, develop personal pieces for local galleries, and take on some freelance design/photography work.
