I’m the child of a seamstress and a carpenter, brought up in the culture of Southwest Art. I spent my childhood draping rooms in my mother’s fabrics, painting murals on my bedroom walls and going through endless art galleries. My teen years were spent sneaking off from Southwestern Art culture to watch graffiti artists create enormous, vibrant compositions in the desert sun. My art reflects these two very different but complimentary styles with subtle color changes and crisp lines. My work explores ancient spiritual and cultural evolution, employing hidden windows and intersections in the universe where different worlds collide. I hold a BFA in Painting with a focus in Ancient Middle Eastern Art from The University of Texas. I’ve painted many walls around Akron, including the local businesses Mustard Seed Cafe in Montrose and the walls and tables in the indoor playscape Cafe O’Play in Stow.
