What talent I have in art was given to me by God, only to share with the world. I improve my talents with practice and patience. The sheer joy of painting and creating something from a blank sheet of paper is worth the effort. I want people to enjoy and see the beauty in this world and bring a smile to their face. Pleasing art can help do that. It gives me a greater joy when I can freely give a painting to a friend; a watercolor painting just looks more appealing then a photograph.

Watercolor is my favorite of many mediums to express the best version of myself. It reminds me I have a soul. Art is my joy and it is the results of my paintings that make me an artist, My favorite painting is the next one.

I studied art at the University of Akron and four workshops of Ron Bean, Harriet Elson, Don Getz and Don Andrews.

When I retired in 2008, I found that I had suddenly lost many of the opportunities for communicating that had come with my work. Painting helps me to stay focused.
