My art is a product of the love I feel when I watch the world. There is much to love – so  I paint a wide variety of subject matters and styles. The common thread is a sense of organic, vibrant, exploration.

When painting portraits, I portray the unique beauty of the subject, as well as the colors and style that seem to emanate from them. With landscapes, I meditate in on every perfect detail, connecting with the natural rhythm of it. My symbolic and abstract works attempt a bridge, between what is and what it means, or how it feels.

With my performance paintings, again a sense of being a conduit, between musician and audience, between sound and color. I open myself up and see what comes out, and it takes on a story or style that reflects the music being played.

When teaching art, I act as facilitator as well as instructor.  I’m there to help find the tools and techniques that are best suited for the individual to express their natural creativity. In the process, I get just as inspired as the student.

I am currently working on building up a new body of work for my next art show, but I do take commissions on a selective basis.  I’m available for hire for performance painting or to host an art class or creativity workshop.
