We took a pottery class and fell in love. Weekly classes weren’t enough, so we bought our own wheel and decided to “throw clay” in our garage. We collaborated and started Lucas Clay to create functional home decor, Raku vessels and ceramic art that strives to achieve a connection through surface, form and color in every piece we create.

Christine has been involved in ceramics since early childhood. Her other talents include quilting, sewing, scrapbooking, and card making. She uses these skills as a ceramic artist. Her work is whimsical and includes wall art, garden art, and some functional pottery.

Our studio is located in the foothills of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park -this is their inspiration for Chip’s work at the wheel and Christine as she hand-builds.
