“An artist is a person who uses their skills to make the world a more beautiful place.”

A native freshwater American, I make art and race bicycles in northeast Ohio, where I live with my very large poodle. My professional work is mixed-media and often large in scale, combining acrylic paint, found paper and ink. I consider myself to be a modern fauvist and have always been drawn to saturated colour and energetic brush strokes.

I believe art should be accessible to all people. My sip & paint company, I Paint Akron, was founded in 2018 with the goal of bringing my love of art and art history into community spaces. I hope to inspire those I work with to try new things, have confidence in their ideas and learn about art techniques in a relaxed, fun environment.

I studied painting, illustration and design at Pratt Institute and the University of Akron and have most recently shown my work with White Rabbit Galleries and Popped Art Space. My spirit animal is the opossum.
