I grew up in Huntington Beach, California and moved to Akron, Ohio fall 2019.   At Syracuse University I studied sculpture, printmaking, religious studies and history, while also competing on the women’s rowing team. Then I went to graduate school at University of Nebraska-Lincoln for studio art with an emphasis in printmaking. This is where I developed my colorful woodcut prints, often using pattern and repetition. I have shown nationally and internationally and love being a part of the art community in Akron.

I am inspired by hidden landscapes in our environment and the relationships we form to it and each other. Each one of my series of works chronicles a relationship, either with a person, place or specific time period of my life. I find that I remember things in landscapes, and like to find small hidden moments of magic in the landscape of my surrounding world. The way I approach woodcut allows me to be rash, intuitive and thoughtful throughout the different stages of the process. There is a heightened level of intimacy with each mark as I spend time carving around it. Recently I have added more narrative elements into my work, and started working with figures more.
