Within the confines of the four sides of a common canvas, I explore the boundaries of gender expression and queer joy. Growing up, I was always steps away from another move, another house, and another neighborhood. My pieces encompass the idea that we will find joy again and that it’s found in the future, in the little pieces of human kindness and caring for our communities and the world around us. There are so many people in the world who still hope- I owe it to them to try. To not give up. I’ve always had a burning desire for a better world, but I will not become the human fire that destroys it.
