Talespinner Children’s Theatre, Cleveland’s only professional theatre for children and families, is looking for a marketing/box office intern during the run of Michael D. Sepesy’s “Mr. Scrooge’s Ghosts.” This position will receive a small stipend upon completion.

(TCT will hire similar positions for each of the four Main Stage productions of the 2018 season. If you are interested in an internship at a different time, we will still accept applications. Please be specific in your email, explaining which time of the year for which you are applying.)

Responsibilities and required availability:

The TCT winter Marketing/Box Office Intern will schedule posts for TCT’s twitter account and assist the Director of Marketing and Development with marketing-related tasks both pertaining to this production and on general brand reinforcement, marketing for the next season. The most important responsibility of this position is to manage the TCT box office, including box office management, tickets sales receipt management, the creation of sales and reports for every performance of TCT’s “Mr. Scrooge’s Ghosts,” as well as the production end box office organization and preliminary show-end box office breakdown report. Applicants must be available for two meetings to be scheduled before the production opens on Nov. 25 as well as the following dates and times:

Required Skills:

Money handling, basic Excel/Google Sheets work. Social media posting experience (basic skills, will be instructed during preparation time). Must be highly personable, as our box office personnel is considered, “front of house,” and act as an ambassador for the company. Must have a clear, strong speaking voice.

TCT is located at 5209 Detroit Ave., Cleveland 44102. We are on the eastern-most edge of the Gordon Square Arts District.
