Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018 between 6 and 9:30 p.m.

Monday, Dec. 3, 2018 between 6 and 9:30 p.m.

Audition slots are available by appointment each night in 30-minute intervals.

WHAT DO I PREPARE FOR THIS AUDITION?

Please prepare 32 bars of music from a song showcasing your abilities. Please bring sheet music for the accompanist in a three-ring binder.

Please be prepared to stay for the entire half hour session.

Callbacks and dance auditions will be held Tuesday, Dec. 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. Please dress for movement and be prepared to stay the entire time.

Please bring your headshot and performance resume.

Bring your calendar with you in order to declare any conflict dates for rehearsals.

All women who are auditioning for the role of Effie White will have an automatic callback (on Dec. 4) unless notified otherwise.

All women auditioning for the role of Effie must learn the song “(And I’m Telling You) I’m Not Going,” which will be sung at the callback on Dec. 4. Sheet music for “(And I’m Telling You) I’m Not Going” as well as character descriptions with vocal ranges can be found on the audition SignUp page.

Please note that we are NOT seeking to cast any performers under the age of 16.

WHEN ARE THE REHEARSALS?

Rehearsals will be held five days a week — Sundays thru Thursdays — most often in the evenings. Not every actor will be called to every single rehearsal. We will do our best to schedule around your availability, if you give us your “conflict dates” in advance. There will be some Friday rehearsals as we get closer to “tech week.”

WHEN ARE THE PERFORMANCES?

Dreamgirls runs for a total of 17 performances between Feb. 21 and March 17, 2019. Please note below that there is one weekday “school matinee” performance:

Thursdays — Feb. 21 and 28 and March 7 and 14 — at 7:30 p.m.
Fridays — Feb. 22, March 1, 8 and 15 — at 7:30 p.m.
Saturdays — Feb. 23, March 2, 9 and 16 — at 7:30 p.m.
Sundays — Feb. 24, March 3, 10 and 17 — at 2:30 p.m.
PLUS Tuesday, March 12 at 10 a.m.
