Theatre on the Spectrum’s Adult Company presents: Act For Advocacy!

Act for advocacy is an improv workshop to help people learn to advocate for themselves and others. Improvisation is a fun and useful way for people with disabilities to learn the skills they need to assert their rights and the rights of those around them. Improv provides a safe and judgement free space to learn, play, and express thoughts and emotions. Improv is also great for:

  • Gaining self-esteem.
  • Social interaction.
  • Learning to understand others
  • Helping people with disabilities to be an active part of their community in which they are often disadvantaged.

Act For Advocacy takes you through real life scenarios using improv to teach you how to stand up and speak out against:

  • Rude wait staff
  • Bullies
  • Intimidating authority figures
  • And more!

Please contact Wendy Duke and Ruben Ryan at info@centerforada.org or by phone at 234-678-7830 to arrange a workshop at your site or ours — this workshop is free for programs that serve individuals with dis/Abilities. For other groups, donations are always welcome! email info@centerforada.org
