We are looking for a creative self-starter to take over many of our copywriting responsibilities. We have a very unique voice in our marketing and this person will need to be able to emulate that. This person will be working closely with several members of our marketing team to write copy for many purposes including but not limited to; social media posts, b2b and b2c marketing campaigns, email marketing newsletters, responding to comments to our social media posts, and interacting with social media mentions. This will be a part time position that will require the employee to spread their work throughout the day in order to respond to comments and questions in a timely manner. Ultimately, you will ensure we maintain a strong online voice and brand consistent with our marketing goals.

Qualifications:
Strong writing and editing skills
Knowledge of music and musical instruments
High proficiency with Microsoft programs
High proficiency with Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and Twitter
Can prioritize and work on multiple projects
Detail oriented
Good team player
Knowledge of email newsletter programs such as Mailchimp

Responsibilities:
Write copy for posts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other social sites
Understand our goals and audience; research audience preferences and discover current trends
Write copy for email newsletters for b2b and b2c customers
Write copy for sales collateral, web, newsletters, presentations, and events.
Write and edit user manuals
Respond to questions and comments on our social media pages in a timely and accurate manner
Write copy for our website
Write copy for blogs as needed

Experience:
2 years of copy writing and/or marketing experience is preferred.
Experience playing guitar or bass preferred

Location:
Ideally the candidate is able to work out of our Akron office. The office is located at 350 W Bowery St, Akron, OH 44307. 

Salary:
Salary is commensurate with experience.
