We are thrilled to announce that submissions are now being accepted for Akron on Deck II!

Individual artists and creative groups (music, theatre, dance ensembles, etc.) can submit as many entries as they like at no charge, but only one entry may be selected. As with the first deck, we will try our best to represent the North, South, East, and West sides of Akron.

The deadline for entries is Friday, April 1st, 2022. Selected artists will be notified in the weeks that follow and must submit a signed contract and W-9 within 30 days of notification. The 54 selected artists featured in Akron On Deck II will equally split the royalties from 40% of gross sales, paid annually, for life.

To date, Akron on Deck has sold more than 6,000 decks of cards and raised more than $45,000 for featured artists and local retailers. Follow us at @ARTxLOVELLC and #AkronOnDeck to spread the word and let others know about this exciting opportunity to support local artists and businesses!

INSTRUCTIONS

Please label the files you wish to submit with YOURNAME_TITLEOFWORK, then upload and submit them using the form below. All mediums and file formats are accepted, including music, video, websites, and poetry. There is no cost for entry and submissions are unlimited. Please note that we will need an image to display on the card with your submission (i.e. a thumbnail to go with a movie file, a graphic to go with an audio file, a screenshot to go with a web application, etc.).

Artwork will be displayed in a vertical/portrait format on the playing cards. Horizontal submissions may be cropped to fit. Preference will be given to entries that clearly represent or highlight an Akron landmark, business, or cultural institution different from our first Akron on Deck set. To increase your chance of being selected, submit entries that specifically highlight the North (♣️), South (♠️), East, (♥️), or West (♦️) sides of Akron.
