Faces of Akron, led by local artist Alexandria Couch, is Summit Artspace’s new digital mural initiative inspired by the existing Kings and Queens mural in Summit Artspace’s parking lot. Couch will select five local artists to create portraits of community members.
Community members can submit their portraits (which will also be selected by Couch) for the new artworks. The portraits will be digitized into a virtual mural and exhibited at Summit Artspace in June 2022.
Local artists and community members who apply should live in Summit or surrounding counties and have a strong connection to Akron.
The deadline for both artists and community members to apply is March 20.
