The responsibilities of the Capital Projects Field Coordinator include field supervision of onsite trade work, including a focus on safety, security, quality, project schedule requirements, material delivery and installation, coordination between trades, workforce production, ongoing interaction with project management and other activities focused on overall project success. Skills in communication with problem solving are critical for this position.

This position is responsible for ensuring that all outside vendors working on Zoo capital projects are scheduled to ensure that both project timelines are met and coordinated to avoid or minimize impact on Zoo operations. Responsible for performing all necessary inspections, ensuring that work being performed is in accordance with appropriate standards/specification, safely, and on time. Creates regular reports on all assigned projects. Services as the primary means of communication between outside vendors and Zoo staff.

Essential Functions:

Inspect daily installs and ensure that Zoo quality standards are met or exceeded
Follow-up with appropriate Zoo staff to insure their satisfaction with the product installation, clean up, timeliness, and other issues that may arise
Communicate expectations to the subcontractor and follow up to verify that job products are correct as specified, in correct quantity, and are being installed in the correct location, orientation, and according to specifications and industry standards
Coordinate all warranty follow up, work, and paperwork with Zoo staff and vendors
Conform to appropriate safety rules, procedures, safe and proper use of equipment and enforce compliance regulations

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, High School Diploma or GED equivalency required.
OSHA General Industry (10) highly desired.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of applicable Ohio building codes and regulations
