Tuesday Musical is accepting on-line applications starting Jan. 1 through Jan. 31 for its 2023 Scholarship Competition.

Now in its 67th year and hailed as the best in Ohio, the adjudicated competition provides support for talented university and college students embarking on careers as music educators and performers.  Twenty-three scholarships are available ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 each.

Invited to apply are music performance and/or music education majors who are Ohio residents or studying with a music teacher at an Ohio college or university. Categories include music education, brass, classical guitar, organ, piano, marimba/classical steel drum, strings, voice, and woodwinds.

The adjudicated competition will be in-person on Saturday, March 18, at The University of Akron. The first- and second-place winners will then be invited to compete in the Final Round/Winners Concert on Sunday, May 21, for two additional scholarships and a new People’s Choice Award.
