The Akron Soul Train (AST) Members’ Show celebrates our AST community’s creativity, cultural voice, and experiences. This exhibition showcases a cross-section of talent from around the region and will highlight individuals who care for, and appreciate, Akron Soul Train’s ultimate mission to support creators and make art accessible to all. We want you to join us and participate as an artist or an art supporter at the public opening on May 23, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. Once you become a member, you will be invited to our private Members’ Mixer on June 20, 2024. The Members’ Mixer will bring together community collaborators, curators, exhibition artists, and AST Alumni.

We will be accepting all artistic media including visual, audio, video, performance, and written work. Please note that visual artwork should be no larger than 30″ x 30”. On-site performances (e.g. dance, poetry readings, music, theater) are welcomed and encouraged. Submissions are limited to one per artist.

If you would like to participate in the exhibition become a member today. AST offers artist memberships at $25 per year. If you become a member for the members’ show, we will waive the $25 Residency Application fee in August for artists who plan to apply to our residency program.
