"Wizard of Oz" – 5th annual Free Outdoor Movie Night in Glendale Cemetery!

Presented by Free Akron Outdoor Movies and Akronist at Glendale Cemetery

The Akronist/Free Akron Outdoor Movies will host the 5th Annual Free Outdoor Movie Night at Glendale Cemetery, Saturday, September 17. Gates and trolley service will open at 6:00 p.m. and the movie will start at 8:00 p.m.

There will be movie-themed activities for children, courtesy of smART Studio Akron, and Ed Cote will also be there to teach kiddos how to do rock stacking before the movie begins.

Visitors are encouraged to come when the gates open to picnic on the Great Meadow and support local food vendors, Square Scullery Food Truck and Ms. Julie’s Kitchen. Additional snacks, popcorn, and hot and cold beverages will be available.

Moviegoers are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.
**It gets colder at night quickly this time of year, so dress in layers and bring blankets for keeping warm after dark.**

Glendale Cemetery does not allow pets, so please leave your furry friends at home.

Parking will be available outside the main gate in the city parking lot on Glendale Avenue and across the street from the West entrance at January Paint & Wallpaper, 394 W. Exchange St.

Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. and trolleys provided by the city of Akron will run on a loop between the main gate and the meadow until the movie starts at 8:00 p.m. and then resume following the movie.

If it rains, this event will be moved to the following day, Sunday 9/18, at the same times.
