PechaKucha has made its way to Akron, Ohio! PechaKucha started in Tokyo in 2003 and is now in 800 cities worldwide, and is a program for local creatives to showcase their work to the general public. Each speaker presents 20 slides that last for 20 seconds — meaning each presentation is under seven minutes. PechaKucha speakers are from diverse backgrounds, including art, music, law, architecture, fashion, photography, and science. And don’t worry — we don’t really know how to pronounce “PechaKucha,” either. Just show up, because this event is going to be awesome.
