Signature Series - Behold how pleasant it is to dwell in unity

Presented by Singers Companye at St. Sebastian Church

he Singers Companye Ensemble returns to the St. Sebastian Artist Series with Akron’s first performance of Triptych, a cantata for String Orchestra and Chorus by Tarik O’Regan.  Based on texts by William Penn, Muhammed Rajab-Al-Bayoumi, William Blake, John Milton, Masnavi I Ma’navi, William Wordsworth and Thomas Hardy, this remarkable work leaves us with words from the 1918 signing of the Armistice (WWI) in which Hardy says, “Calm fell, From heaven distilled a clemency; There was peace on earth, and silence in the sky.”  This is our hope for the future.

Singers Companye is proudly supporting the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. As part of the Food & Fund Drive, we will discount your ticket price by $5 for supporting this cause. Please bring your donated canned/boxed food items with you to the concert. (Must purchase tickets day-of to receive discount.) We also will be passing around a donation basket during the concert, and we will be giving 100% of the money donated to the Food Bank.
