Come meet author Rick Niece. Mr. Niece will be here with his book Perfect in Memory: A Son’s Tribute to His Mother. The book is the final in a series entitled Fanfare for a Hometown. The first two books in the series will also be available:Side-Yard Superhero: Life Lessons from an Unlikely Teacher and The Band Plays On: Going Home for a Music Man’s Encore.
Written as a tribute to a remarkable woman, Niece’s heartfelt remembrances focus with tender reflection on the richness that makes life so beautiful. “The roles in the life of a family are often connected by the strength and enduring memories of one person. In our case, that person was our mother,” says Niece. “It is a rare life that is perfect, but it is a blessed life that is perfect in memory.”
Niece is a former high school English teacher in the Streetsboro district, curriculum director at Brunswick, assistant to the Dean at Kent State and associate professor/interim president at Walsh University. He was named President of the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, AR in 1997, where he remained until his retirement in 2013.
