THREE BIRDS TOUR

THREE BIRDS TOUR

Presented by Grand Exchange at Grand Exchange

We are Christa, Jess, and Taylor. We became friends a few years ago as fellow musicians and songwriters in Raleigh, NC and quickly discovered we were huge fans of each other’s work. We’ve dreamed about doing something like this for a long time, and we’re thrilled to be hitting the road together this fall for the THREE BIRDS TOUR. This will be a special night of music where we get to sing and play each of our songs for you in a way you’ve never heard before. Think cozy spaces, stripped down performances, stories behind the songs, and lots and lots of harmony.

BIOS

CHRISTA WELLS
Award winning singer-songwriter Christa Wells writes deep-reaching piano-driven alt-pop music and has released seven solo projects, including her latest EP (Covers) and a full length record (Feed Your Soul). In 2006, Christa was named Songwriter Of The Year by the Gospel Music Association for “Held”, recorded by Natalie Grant. A true contemplative, Christa isn’t afraid of asking hard questions in her music, often wrestling with themes of grief, hope, doubt, faith, and family. Her warm vocals and understated arrangements deliver songs that sit close to the listener – songs that insightfully know us and carefully heal us. www.christawellsmusic.com

JESS RAY
Jess Ray is a singer/songwriter and producer from North Carolina, the land of ocean, woods, rolling hills, and mountains. In May 2015, Jess released Sentimental Creatures, a full length record which features her on everything from guitar to the trumpet. Diverse as her home state, Sentimental Creatures is an enchanting blend of indie pop vibes and lyric-driven sensibility, a new brand of music she’s affectionately dubbed “friendly folk.” Jess’ music, much like herself, occupies two worlds effortlessly. Intensely spiritual yet deeply real, her songs soar with joy and hope without ignoring the reality of our human struggle. www.jessraymusic.com

TAYLOR LEONHARDT
Taylor Leonhardt is a new singer-songwriter with an old soul. Raised in small-town Texas, Taylor grew up on staples like Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, and Guy Clark, a heritage you can hear in her unique blend of indie/country/folk. Taylor is first and foremost a student of people and the ways they connect to the world and each other. Her songwriting explores the vast landscape of relationships, guided by heavy-hitting language and singable melodies. Truest Things, her debut EP, released in October 2015. www.taylorleonhardt.com
