The Five Irish Tenors

The Five Irish Tenors

Presented by EJ Thomas Hall (UA Events) - The University of Akron at EJ Thomas Performing Arts Hall - University of Akron

Following in the footsteps of the great Irish Tenor John McCormack, in a sensational program, “The Five Irish Tenors” fuses Irish wit and boisterous charm, with lyricism, dramatic flair and operatic style to bring you a unique Irish tenor concert experience.

Featuring both famously beloved Irish song and opera arias in combinations of tenor solos, duets, trios, quartets, quintets and tutti, … this distinctive program includes, among others, W.B Yeats’s “Down by the Sally Gardens,” Verdi’s “O Mio Rimorso” from La Traviata, Cherubini Bixio’s “Mamma, The Rose of Tralee,” Cesar Frank’s “Paris Angelicus,” Mozart’s “Il Mio Tesoro,” “She Moves Through the Fair,” “Will You Go Lassie Go,” and the glorious “Danny Boy,” performed by Ireland’s most legendary tenors.

This concert project is the first tour ever in North America of Ireland’s most popular ensemble, and has been specially recreated from the major cities in Ireland for the United States and Canada.

Starring: David Martin, Morgan Crowley, Ciarán Kelly, Alan Leech and George Hutton
Featuring: Pianist/Composer/Arranger Danny Forde and Pianist Feargal Murray.
