Greystone & Quaker Square Tour

Greystone & Quaker Square Tour

Presented by Akron2Akron at Greystone Hall

Love it! Interest is off the charts! Due to the awesome response, we’re asking that you please RSVP via the Eventbrite page, so that we can prepare adequate accommodations.

In honor of its 100th year, join us as we explore six floors of hidden splendor of what once housed meetings and celebrations of Akron’s Freemasons.

A block away stands the old factory of Quaker Oats. Quaker Square, built in 1886, once housed the production facilities for the cereal maker, but was repurposed after Quaker moved in 1970. The building is a shadow of its former self, which once included restaurants and bars and thriving shops—a peek into some of the forgotten establishments will be included on this tour.

The Quaker Square portion will be a teaser with the bulk of the tour winding through Greystone Hall.
