Exploring Our Past: Firestone Park Story Circle

Presented by Gum-Dip Theatre and Akron-Summit County Public Library, Firestone Park Branch at Akron-Summit County Public Library, Firestone Park Branch

Firestone Park is entering its second century.

Now is the time to come together and envision a stronger future.

Gum-Dip Theatre and the Akron Public Library’s Firestone Park Branch present “Exploring Our Past: Story Circle,” as part of the Second Century Arts Series (SCAS), on Tuesday, March 7 at 6:00 p.m.

“Exploring Our Past: Story Circle” is the first of a three-part series of story circles at the Firestone Park Library that focus on group sharing and personal connection. It is an opportunity for neighbors to reflect on the shared history of Firestone Park through structured storytelling prompts. The following story circles are “Understanding the Present” on April 4 and “Envisioning a Common Future” on May 2 at the Firestone Park Library.

The Second Century Arts Series (SCAS) aims to collaborate with community members from Firestone Park and South Akron on community-based art projects. The Series will feature pop-up arts events, such as musical and theatrical performances, as Firestone Park enters its second century in Akron.
