Calling All Friends!

The Akron League of Creative Interventionists invites you to the second annual FriendsGiving. Join us for an evening of Great food and Great minds, in a celebration of Abundance and GRATITUDE.

We are teaming up with the Big Love Fest, and the Akron Cooking Coalition (the ACC) in order to strengthen our networks, communities and friendships. We will be fueling our collective creative capabilities with delicious vegan & vegetarian food.
*This is NOT your ordinary potluck.
So, bring your favorite dish to share, bring a friend, bring your own personal cup, bowl, plate, spoon, fork, spork, chopsticks, etc.. Or, just bring yourself.
As well as sharing food and camaraderie, we are asking folks to bring a non food item to share. A coat you no longer wear, boots you’ve grown out of, a blanket, hat, or even a blender you no longer use. We are a group of Friends, Giving. We are sharing our abundance with each other, and what we don’t need, goes to people that do.

***Live music from Rhodes Street Rude Boys and Zach, as well as a participatory – drum circle.***

As an action to get our creativity flowing, we’re inviting you to join in a number of live art projects we’ll have going on throughout the evening.
Also.. a ping pong tournament may develop at any time.

FriendsGiving is a “mixer” between progressive, positive organizations within our community, and we are very excited to expand our circle of friends and collaborators. We see this as the first in a series of events that will bring together diverse communities to share and learn from each other as well as celebrate our community connections.
