The Power of Myth (ages 10-13 years)

“Mythology is not a lie, mythology is poetry, it is metaphorical.” Before art, before language, before religion, there was myth. Investigating an age old tradition, students will delve into the art of storytelling and the craft of theater. The class will work together using ensemble theater games and practices to act out a chosen myth, learning techniques to prepare their bodies, voices, and imaginations for performance.
