New Music Festival begins with guest composer Jake Runestad giving a lecture Monday, April 3 at 6:45 p.m. at Guzzetta Recital Hall. Jake Runestad is an award-winning composer of music for orchestra, choir, wind ensemble, chamber ensembles, and opera. He will be discussing composing music for the voice. Event is free and open to the public.
Tuesday, April 4, 7:30 p.m.
New Music Festival continues with a faculty concert on Tuesday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m. at Guzzetta Recital Hall. The concert will feature the music of Robert Brownlow, Nikola Resanovic, and James Wilding, with faculty performers Chris Blaha, Todd Gaffke, Daniel Velasco and Debbie Yasutake, and guest performers Stacie Mickens and Caroline Oltmanns. Event is free and open to the public.

New Music Festival composers and performers will collaborate with UA Dance Company for a performance on Wednesday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Guzzetta Hall 194 (Albrecht Studio). The event features student choreographers and dancers from the UA Dance Company under the direction of Cydney Spohn in collaboration with student composers and performers from the UA School of Music under the direction of James Wilding. Event is free and open to the public.

New Music Festival final concert is Saturday, April 8, at 1 p.m. at Guzzetta Recital Hall. The event will feature student composers and performers from the UA School of Music and guest students. Event is free and open to the public.
