Warm and Hot Glass at the Peninsula Art Academy

Warm and Hot Glass at the Peninsula Art Academy

Presented by Peninsula Art Academy at Peninsula Art Academy

Gallery opening Saturday, April 1 from 6-9pm

This is our third biennial show featuring work by regional glass artists created at temperatures above
1400 degrees. See work by Lisa Demagall, winner of the Akron Art Prize, nationally known Mike Mikula,
local favorite Russ O’Brien, award winners Marianne Hite and Bob Pozarski, and others.

We’ll have live demonstrations of glass blowing, and flame worked beads by Kim Gurski, spacey music
by Andrew Izold, and light refreshments.

The Peninsula Art Academy is a teaching facility with classes in fine arts, weaving and craft. Marianne
Hite and Bob Pozarski teach glass fusing, stained glass and glass blowing for beginners through advanced students.

We have invited professional glass artists to stimulate our students and interest our educated ClevelandAkron
area collectors. You will find in the show flame worked and fused glass jewelry, fused glass vessels
and wall pieces, and blown glass art in many shapes colors and styles.

The exhibit runs April 1 through May 14, 2017
