Fri 5/5/17 5pm-9pm
Sat 5/6/17 9am-5:30pm
Sun 5/7/17 9am-5:30pm

This immersion will examine the anatomy as it relates to vinyasa yoga. We will learn about all of the important muscle groups that help provide stability and structure during the vinyasa practice as well as common injuries associated with improper alignment. We will also learn function and dysfunction of the major muscle groups and how that impacts the vinyasa practice. You will leave with comprehensive knowledge about the major muscles involved in the vinyasa practice, how to create appropriate alignment, and how to prevent injury.

Briefly about the teacher: Tracie completed a 225 HR Ashtanga Vinyasa TT in March 2013 and will be completing her 500 HR through Yoga Medicine in July 2017. She has extensive anatomy and alignment training including a human cadaver dissection lab. Her teaching focuses on helping people feel their body and be fully present within it to help them feel empowered and educated. She uses vinyasa to rehab injuries, relieve chronic conditions and retrain muscles for optimal range of motion and function. You can learn more about her training at yogamedicine.com.
