Larrie King - Spirit

Presented by Kent State University School of Art at Downtown Gallery - Kent State

“Spirit” is a new body of works by mixed media artist, Larrie King. Through acidic colors married with found objects, vintage ephemera, and atmospheric application, King explores a personal retelling of the Icarus story and his connection to the vibrant and ever-changing world around us. On view at the Downtown Gallery (141 E. Main St.) in Kent, Ohio from May 25 – June 24, 2017. An opening reception will be held at the Downtown Gallery on Thursday, May 25 from 5-7 p.m.

Biography:
Larrie King was born and raised in Leesville, a small town in north central Louisiana. He attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, where he earned both his BFA and MA degrees while studying fine art, graphic design, and theatre.
