Kenmore Neighborhood Alliance and KenMore Kreative Present: Kenmore Youth Theater’s – Alice in Wonderland

Akron’s Kenmore neighborhood is experiencing an arts renaissance that is now reaching its youth.  KenMore Kreative’s first production Alice in Wonderland, is being put on by the newly formed, Kenmore Youth Theater. This newly formed theater in Akron is for children and run by children with professional support.  Along with a very talented cast, our Kenmore Kids are in charge from script to final bow, learning valuable leadership skills along the way! This is a new theatre movement like no other that you do not want to miss.
 
Thirteen year-old director Chloe Freeman is joined by an all-youth ensemble, from cast to technical artists. The show will be held in the historic Rialto Theatre, right in the heart of Kenmore.
 
Alice in Wonderland will be held on Friday August 18th   Doors Open at 6:00PM and Saturday August 19th Doors Open at 1:30PM at The Rialto Theatre at 1000 Kenmore Blvd. • Akron, OH.

ABOUT THE PLAY:
Alice plunges down the rabbit hole and becomes involved in that madcap and deliciously satiric series of adventure immortalized by Lewis Carroll. Dramatized as a series of fourteen episodes from Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, this play may be produced a full-length or as a one-act cutting. It is a kaleidoscope of action and madness, with necessary elements of suspense and frustration to make it all work.

ABOUT THE THEATRE:
The newly renovated Rialto Theatre holds many great events, such as concerts, comedy nights, and a variety of other types of entertainment. Owned by the Vaill brothers, Seth and Nate, this theatre is truly an Akron gem–an anchor for the arts revival not only for the neighborhood, but the entire city.
